True enough, Matt. Some of the scenes were set in some beautiful open-field areas. I meant that the scenes within the little town and the Doc's house seemed to take up the majority of the film -- and it felt very, I dunno, not in the wild.

And, yea, Matt caught that we've been somewhat irritated by Costner's recent works; some of those feelings may have clouded judgement on the fact that for a modern Western, it was quite a good flick.

I'm going to kick up the score by one point, because of what Matt pointed out. I'll watch the film again when it comes out on digital cable, too. Looks like there is still hope for Kevin in the future.

Well, i happened to like it. Since the fact that there havent been any westerns out for a while made this a nice relief. If these characters acted fake then...i guess i have never seen real acting. One more thing...i dont know how you can fit the amazing scenery into a "backlot". Trust me, this was done outside in the midwest and it looked alot like Montana. Sounds like whoever did this review is anti-kevin costner or something...i give it 4 out of 5.
